General Policies

The Studio Board of Directors and our instructors offer you our warmest welcome to our studio. While we do offer paper copies of all of our policies, we supply the same information here to refer to at your leisure. 

 

Registration

In order for your child to participate in any of the classes, solos, or private lessons that the studio offers, your child must be registered and the $55 registration fee (per family) must be paid. Registration fees are billed annually and are non-refundable.  

Waitlists

In the event your preferred class is full, we will add your child to a waitlist. Since waitlists usually have several people and spots go quickly, you must respond to a notification that an opening is available for your child within 24 hours, otherwise your child will be placed back on the waitlist. 

Food at the Studio

The Studio does have a waiting room available for those who may need a snack or meal between classes. We  have a microwave, mini refrigerator, and freezer that can be used by students. Food is ONLY allowed in the waiting room and students should not be eating in the hallway or classrooms. Some levels elect to have a snack locker - if this is the case then snacks must be pre-packaged and not left open inside lockers. Lockers also must be cleaned out regularly. 

 

Tuition

Your child's tuition is due by the 10th of each month. Please contact the Studio treasurer if you need to make arrangements, otherwise a late fee of $15 will apply. No refunds on tuition will be given. 

 

Communication

Please join our Studio Parents & Dancers Facebook page in order to receive updates and important information. We also send out emails from Jackrabbit and will be trying the BAND app instead of Facebook messenger. The Studio will also be getting it's very own app. We will release information on that as it comes available. 

 

 

Recital

Enrolled students will be participating in the Studio's annual recital in June. A costume deposit of $25 per enrolled class per child will be due by November 1st. Deposits will go toward the final cost of the costumes.  There will be no refunds on costumes. Any unused costumes MUST be picked up by June 30th; at that point any remaining costumes become the property of the studio. 

 

Enrollment Changes

It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to inform the class instructor as well as the Board of Directors if there is a change in enrollment. The Studio offers drop forms that must be filled out and submitted by the 20th of the month or charges will continue to be assessed. Accounts will not be refunded. 

 

Observation

Classes at The Studio are generally closed classes. We do not have observation windows and we do not have a seating area for parents to view their child's class. 

 

Studio Store

The studio sells leotards, ballet/jazz shoes, tights, booty shorts, and other dancewear and accessories for your convenience. Please let a board member or instructor know if your child needs something from the studio store. You may pay at purchase or elect to have your Jackrabbit account charged.
